DX Kaminarimon recreates the famous Thunder Gate at Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. The real gate is known for its huge red paper lantern, marked with the characters for “thunder gate,” and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Japan. Originally built centuries ago and rebuilt several times after fires, Kaminarimon now serves as the dramatic entrance to Nakamise-dori, the busy shopping street leading to the temple. This kit captures the gate’s bold red pillars, black tiled roof, lantern, and surrounding street details in Nanoblock form.
