Itsukushima Shrine
SKU: NBH_222
This Nanoblock kit recreates Itsukushima Shrine, the famous Shinto shrine on Miyajima Island in Hiroshima Bay, Japan. The shrine is best known for its vivid red buildings and “floating” torii gate, which appear to rise from the sea at high tide. Itsukushima Shrine dates back in its present form to the 12th century and is dedicated to the three daughters of the Shinto sea and storm deity Susanoo. It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and remains one of Japan’s most iconic coastal landmarks.
