This Nanoblock Lunar Rover kit recreates the compact electric vehicle astronauts used to explore the Moon during the later Apollo missions. The real Lunar Roving Vehicle first drove on the lunar surface during Apollo 15 in 1971, letting astronauts travel much farther from the Lunar Module than they could on foot. Its lightweight frame, wire-mesh wheels, and folding design were engineered so it could fit inside the spacecraft and operate in the Moon’s low gravity. In Nanoblock form, the rover’s dish antenna, chunky wheels, and astronaut details make it a small tribute to one of NASA’s most memorable exploration machines.
