The real gate stands at the entrance to Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa and is famous for its huge red lantern marked with the kanji for thunder. Originally built centuries ago, Kaminarimon has been rebuilt several times after fires and remains one of Tokyo’s most recognizable landmarks. This miniature version captures its bold red pillars, black tiled roof, and traditional temple-gate style in compact nanoblock form.
